A couple weeks back, ASIFA-Hollywood handed out awards for work considered for excellence this year in animation, known as the Annies. I’ve mentioned before about being a member, and voting on this awards. Every year, I also make it a point to watch the streaming broadcast and see the results.
A lot of the awards went as I expected and matched my own votes. Those that didn’t, I wasn’t surprised at the results. Many of the votes had been really close for me to decide. I honestly felt there’d been a lot of good work put out this year.
