Coming at you for a special event from Monday through Thursday of this week, ANIMATED INSIGHTS BY SHANNON MUIR takes you inside Shannon’s latest reflections on her passion for animation as a medium, and other animated insights about life. To catch up on all posts, check out the Animated Insights portion of the website! This week, Shannon looks at a full review of YOUNG JUSTICE SEASON 3. DISCLAIMER: Even though Shannon knows people who work on this series, they have not influenced her review in any way. YOUNG JUSTICE Season Three – also known as YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS – concluded in a strong and satisfying way.
While cues for some major plot points came from the comic history, the producers of the show took ownership and made some twists that while staying true to the spirit of past stories, would keep long time fans of the other media guessing.
Word has since been announced that there will be a YOUNG JUSTICE Season Four, and the seeds are definitely set up for that to happen. I am interested to see where the series will go next. No date has yet been announced.
Here’s the official trailer for YOUNG JUSTICE Season Three’s finale three-parter, which released on DC UNIVERSE last month all in the same week. Episodes generally released once a week throughout the summer, so this was definitely an event.
Catch you in two weeks on Thursday in ANIMATED INSIGHTS regular slot, and next Tuesday for a special for VOLTRON’S 35 years!
