ANIMATED INSIGHTS – Carmen Sandiego Review

As someone who grew up aware of the original video game and PBS game show based on WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?, and also both a fan and author of mystery and crime fiction, I eagerly looked forward to what the new CARMEN SANDIEGO series might deliver. It did not disappoint!

By deciding to look at “why in the world is Carmen Sandiego,” while telling great action/adventure tales with a redeemable thief, it strikes the balance of mystery and character I try to strive for in the work I do. Each episode also weaves in a bit of education in the form of historical background that is critical to each plot, and in that way remains true to the intellectual property as well.
