Generally, I have talked more about general audience animation on this site. To be honest, this is because I have trouble watching a lot of the more graphic mature animation. However, I recently discovered one that I could manage to deal with occasional depictions that I really enjoyed – THE LEGEND OF VOX MACHINA. My husband got me into watching CRITICAL ROLE with him, which is a streamed show featuring voice actors doing role playing gaming. This animated series takes its basis from their earliest campaign, adapted for animation following a highly successful Kickstarter. I became aware of the series long after it had gone into production but before it was released. Each week, the next episodes of the show (available of Amazon Prime) were “can’t miss animation” in this household.
