The holiday period begins in full swing with the Halloween season, which is when the first batch of major animated specials appears. This year, however, brought some changes to the holiday routines. The biggest change comes from the fact that Apple TV+ has full rights now to the complete PEANUTS library.
As a result, IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN will not appear at all on broadcast television. It will be available free to stream October 3oth through November 1, 2020, only.
This has led many to be less than happy with the situation and vocalizing their displeasure.
It will be interesting to see what happens, for this year and for years to come. For the moment though, there’s no Pumpkin Patch miracles to be seen. You can find more information here.
