The SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column is a place at Shannon Muir’s author website open to interviews and guest posts from other authors. One thing Shannon firmly believes in for readers not only to learn about new books available, but about those who craft the tales behind them. As its name implies, SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column features writers from all genres of fiction who want their potential audience to get to know them, and their works, better – and occasionally may offer features from Shannon herself that support readers to discover words.
In this month’s special edition of OWN YOUR OWN TALE from SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS, Shannon Muir talks about her continued challenge for 2019 and how to be flexible with plans.
One thing I’m learning very quickly about planning is that things don’t always go according to plan! I mean, I’ve known that, but trying to use a planner just provides more documentation of that.
That doesn’t mean don’t try to shoot for short and long range goals. What it does mean is accepting that some things are outside of your control. When things can’t go exactly the way you plan, be prepared to adjust – not only timetables, but sometimes situations.
There’s definitely room for growth in the experience.
We’ll see where the challenge takes things next month.
